In the book SACRED CYCLES: Interpretations of everyday life by Caroline Ho-Bich-Tuyen Dang, we follow the artist in her work to create an integrated everyday life; where the various daily activities are included as elements in an overall and unified life and art practice. Art is not separated from everyday life, but part of everyday life, in the sense that artwork and everyday chores cannot be separated, but are juxtaposed and mutually influence each other. Behind this lies a need to increase the artist's own awareness of what it means to be human; about what is her place in the cycle of nature, and to explore the metaphysical, rather than the functional. Raising awareness of routine everyday actions is a work that clarifies our habits. Our visible and invisible daily habits make up our lives. Drawing attention to these is a quiet form of activism, which carries with it an opportunity for development and transformation.
The book accompanied an exhibtion with the same title, that was shown at Fuge Gallery, Gjøvik (Norway) in 2021.
